It would be great if container networking supported bridge mode, allowing each container to obtain an IP address from a DHCP server and to be reachable from the local network.

I agree with this. It would allow use cases to run services that expose themselves using mdns on a LAN.

I also agree with this. Right now I use tart to run VM's only because it allows me to bridge VLAN's set up on the mac
(--net-bridged="VLAN40")

What would it take to add this @dcantah ? Vz.fw already has the feature, but I assume it's more than just plumbing and the com.apple.vm.networking entitlement? I notice there's now also support for network plugins, could such a plugin offer this feature?
