Apple seems to like generic names: Pages, Numbers, Music. It is difficult at times when searching but we just need better search queries I guess.

I think container is clear for most engineers in the industry who are already familiar with Docker.

runc -> container system
...
(apple) container -> ???? icloud container? linux containers (lxc)? a ship of containers? what kind of container?

I am fine with the name container it's simple and tells you exactly what it does.

@cirovargas , this is implied and happens naturally. If it was "Apple Container" it would be Apple's Apple Container which doesn't make sense.

But its not really a container but a mini linux vm? Multiple containers dont run on the same vm it seems?

I love the creativity and name suggestions. We all know naming is one of hardest parts of computer science…

We don’t have any plans to change at this point, but I do appreciate the input. Happy to see a fun GirHub discussion on the subject if it’s helpful, but closing this issue out in the meantime. Thanks @rodrix!
