Description of the issue

Installing in qemu unattended, tried with 3.0.4 and 3.0.6. Worked fine with the archinstall from 2025.01.01 (unsure on which version this is).

Command is: archinstall --config-url http://x.x.x.x/config.json --creds-url http://x.x.x.x/creds.json --silent --script unattended

Are you using this this script for testing or have you actually used this with your own script?

Looking at the existing script shipped with archinstall https://github.com/svartkanin/archinstall/blob/836dd21f0910676befc3f3499d059733ccc19c7c/archinstall/default_profiles/tailored.py?plain=1#L19-L22
This seems to be quite outdated, I'm not sure what the original purpose of it was, besides well automatically running it for a given host with a certain MAC address. Maybe @Torxed has some historical knowledge around it.

I can't see how this would have worked out of the box, as it requires an installation session to be initialized in the first place, something like https://github.com/svartkanin/archinstall/blob/836dd21f0910676befc3f3499d059733ccc19c7c/archinstall/scripts/guided.py?plain=1#L59-L63.

@svartkanin in 2025.01.01 I was using archinstall to auto install arch unattended. This version is 3.0.1. The install method is archinstall --config http://x.x.x.x/config.json --creds http://x.x.x.x/creds.json --silent; there seem to be changes from 3.0.1 -> 3.0.4/6 that result in the breakage, for ex --creds -> --creds-url.

I am using archinstall to auto install without any human interaction. If I remove the --script unattended I have to guide through the install.

That is not the same as running the unattended script, which you seemed to have done according to the error.
If you remove the --script parameter it should work as expected

I decided to retest with latest 3.0.7 and it seems to work fine. Closing.
