Feedback - maybe flatten the result?

Hi!

First of all, love the plugin.

I have an idea. Since the cutted image actually contains the full image, wouldn't it be nice to flatten it programatically ( ⌘+E )?

This would save on file size, and allow me to combine the plugin usage with my own plugin https://screenshottolayout.com/ (by OCR'ing the image part).

As I can see when I flatten a shape the image is not affected. The flattened shape still refers to the original image. Does it work the same way for you?
Figma probably made it that way to save on storage and probably performance since it's cheaper to load one image and use it in multiple shapes.

I may suggest for your use case to export a node to PNG first and then pass it to OCR. Every Figma node has an exportAsync method that you can use. With this approach, your plugin will be able to easily control the size of the image. In addition, you will be able to recognize not only bitmaps but also vectors and SVGs (since they will be converted to PNG anyway)
