Does it create a log? How can we determine what's causing this?

Hi, could you please share a bit more information on how you installed the application the first time?
Have you tried reinstalling the same version and then attempting to fetch the update again?

Also, the error message is pretty clear: your system is in read-only mode, so this isn’t an application issue.

Just downloaded the .zip, unzipped it and ran the app. There's no "installation" that I'm aware of?

Please use dmg instead app

I downloaded the new version, unzipped and it runs like a top. Glitch in the Matrix I guess! :-)
