Review Fast Path

  • User path fixed: launch plan now records merged PR feat(macos): promote browser and AI settings #628 Settings cleanup instead of treating Browser/Permissions cleanup as untouched.
  • Proof: PR feat(macos): promote browser and AI settings #628 merged to main at 1c561be2b6410e48dffada9065bd6b0e6b1aba8e; this docs patch records its scope and remaining polish.
  • Shared-state footgun removed: future lanes will not restart the already-merged first-pass Settings structure cleanup.
  • Still hurts: Channels, AI access, and Permissions still need copy-density/card-styling polish.

Why This Matters

  • The launch plan is the active product tracker.
  • UI polish affects beta onboarding, so the plan needs the current truth before Neon/package work resumes.

Scope Boundary

  • Docs only.
  • Does not change macOS UI code, backend code, Render settings, package scripts, or release assets.

Verification

  • git diff --check

AI Assistance

  • AI-assisted
  • Testing degree: docs-only

- What: record PR #628 as the first-pass macOS Settings cleanup and preserve the remaining UI polish queue.

- Why: keep the launch plan aligned with merged UI work before continuing backend/package readiness.

- Risk: docs-only; no app behavior or deployment settings change.
