Cloned drive

Hi Everyone and hopefully Artisan Scope support,

I am hoping someone can advise:

We cloned the drive from a dead machine that was using Artisan Scope to a new PC. Artisan launches and retains config on the new machine. We are using a Giesen roaster via Phidget USB interface. Will the Phidget device require re-selection or re-pairing in Artisan after hardware migration, or should it be expected to work transparently once connected?

If the phidget device requires a re-selection or re-pairing, how does one do that?

We have not shipped the machine back to the client, still busy with setup, but asking ahead of time. So we cannot test yet, want to get somewhat of an answer before we do.

this is probably best answered by Phidgets support. Artisan really just uses Phidgets and doesn't care how it's linked. Phidgets is one of probably a hundred connection types that Artisan supports, and you might get lucky in that someone has done what you are doing (although its unlikely). As far as I am aware, Phidgets dont change in any way when the underlying connection (USB port for example) changes. If you can open the Phidgets control panel app and can see the phidgets devices, then Artisan will likely see the devices.

Thank you for the response and info provided, noted and will see if I can reach out to their support.

Unfortunately, the client did not take care of their infrastructure or documentation (or at least the previous IT provider did not) and we have to pick up the pieces with very little info.
