Players

This is the player guide for installing Perfect Comms, completing the guided setup, changing your local voice and HUD options, and understanding the host's lobby rules.

Get started

1. Follow Installing Perfect Comms. On Windows, use PerfectComms+dependencies-win-x86-steam-itch.zip for Steam/itch.io or PerfectComms+dependencies-win-x64-epic-msstore.zip for Epic Games Store/Microsoft Store. Android uses the advanced PerfectCommsAndroid.dll mod-build route; the release does not include an APK.
2. Launch Among Us and complete the guided Welcome, Audio, Controls, HUD, and Review steps.
3. Open Voice Settings from Options whenever you want to change your local setup. On desktop, you can also press F10.
4. If you host, open Host Voice Settings from the lobby game-settings console. On desktop, you can also press F11.

Your Voice Settings tabs

Tab	Includes
Audio	Mic and speaker levels, mic sensitivity, open mic/push to talk, processing, falloff softness, and startup mute/deafen.
Devices	Microphone selection and Windows speaker selection.
Keybinds (desktop)	Every voice action, modifier chords, alive/dead hold-mix levels, local refresh, and player volumes.
HUD	Voice-control placement, mute/deafen reminder, speaking-bar presets and live preview, manual layout, meeting overlay, and Jailor control placement.
Advanced	Run first-time setup again, preview a fake 15-player roster, and enable troubleshooting diagnostics.

Android shows Audio, Devices, HUD, and Advanced tabs and uses touch controls instead of the desktop Keybinds tab. See Player Settings & Controls for every option, default, shortcut, and Android control.

Host Voice Settings tabs

Tab	Includes
Proximity	Hearing distance, falloff, occlusion, walls, vision, and camera hearing.
Lobby	Public voice-lobby listing and directory selection.
Meeting & Voice	Meeting-floor grace period, vent voice, ghost rules, sabotage, and meetings/lobby-only mode.
Team Radio	Team radio, impostor channel, and task/meeting availability.
TOU MIRA	Supported role mutes, relocated hearing, muffling, Jailor/Medium behavior, and Vampire/Lovers radio.

Compatible mods can add more host tabs. See Host Settings for every built-in host option.

Desktop shortcuts

• Shift+M: mute or unmute your microphone.
• C: hold to talk when Push To Talk is selected.
• Shift+N: deafen or undeafen; deafening mutes playback and pauses microphone transmission.
• Shift+B: open persistent per-player volume sliders and speaking meters.
• V: hold Team Radio; G: cycle eligible channels.
• F7: refresh your local voice session; this has a 10-second cooldown.

Android touch controls

• In Open Mic mode, tap the microphone button to mute or unmute.
• In Push To Talk mode, hold the microphone button while speaking.
• When Team Radio is available, tap it to change channel or hold it to transmit.
• Tap the speaker button to deafen or undeafen; deafening mutes playback and pauses microphone transmission.
