Prerequisites

Description

My ssh key for git is secured by a passphrase and atom is asking me as well for it, but it takes ages.
When I type it in the console it is normal/fast.

Sometimes I even get:

linux-ssh: Linux ssh wrapper invoked with arguments: [git@github.com
linux-ssh: using SSH command [ssh]
Received disconnect from 140.82.118.3 port 22:11: Bye Bye
Disconnected from 140.82.118.3 port 22
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.
Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. create a ssh key that needs a passphrase (not stored in keyring)
  2. create a git commit and push it to a repo of your choice (github)
  3. wait till it finishes

Expected behavior:

It should take less then 30 seconds.

Actual behavior:

It takes more then 30 seconds and fails sometimes.

Reproduces how often:
