Hello, sorry I did overlook your post until now...! I have been actively working on this after my uapmd and midicci hacks so that you can now even retrieve parameter list and presets list (IF the AAP exposes them) in MIDI 2.0. You might be able to build something like a real DAW just with MIDI features without dealing with AAP :-) I hope to publish those AAP hosts and plugins work to Play Store in the coming months. I hope they help your apps look more fascinating. Thanks again! |

I can't believe you did all of this basically by yourself.
I am able to download APKs of AAP ports of a few different plugins, install them on my phone (Samsung S23), and run them. I can run a MIDI controller like https://github.com/guysoft/midistrum, and its output reaches the AAP plugin. Just that is already amazing.
But then I was also able (with a bit of struggling, because I'm not an Android dev) to build uapmd and install it on my phone. It doesn't fully work (maybe I just don't understand the UI), but it's able to scan and detect AAP plugins.
God, this makes me so excited. Android has been neglected as an audio platform for years. This whole AAP project gives me such hope.
Good shit!!
