Slow completions

I think that the code completions offered by the plugin come pretty late. It feels more like the first iterations of Copilot rather than Supermaven and far from 100ms mentioned on the website.

I have a Pro subscriptions and tried it on both indexed and unindexed repos. Located in Oslo, Norway.

• Is it the expected latency offered by Augment's servers or is it the plugin debouncing the requests that aggressively?
• Also, imprtantly, does the code completion feature depend on the project indexing by improving the quality or latency? Sorry for asking here, couldn't find another place on the website.

Hi @iamim, if you're experiencing slow completions would you be able to provide a few completion request ids? This would help us greatly in diagnosing any potential issues. Request ids look like 60ff722b-9a52-43dd-a361-bed3eeeea3f8 and can be found by invoking the Augment log command.

Code completions are informed by project indexing so quality should be much higher if you set your workspace folders appropriately. If you haven't done this, completions will only be based on the context in the currently-open file. Having the workspace folders set should not have a noticeable impact on latency.

Here's 4 request IDs that seemed to have fired together. The answer I was looking for showed up as a ghost text after ~1 second after I finished typing. In the logs I see that some of them are empty (text=).

@mtpauly Hey Paul, was there a conclusion based on the request from @iamim . I feel like the suggestions aren't as fast for me neither. I don't even really notice there being autocompletion to be honest.
