:Augment chat-toggle throws error on winfixbuf

With my vim setup that uses buffers (via vimbuftab) for navigation and tabs, the first time I toggle the chat buffer I get the following error.

E518: Unknown option: winfixbuf 

followed by pressing enter, an empty chat history window is opened. As a new user, I don't know if I should expect my conversation history to persist like in the VS Code extension. I don't see anything about this feature in this plugin.

Hi @lazzarello, could you detail the steps to reproduce this? Does this happen when opening the buffer for the first time or when closing it with toggle? If it happens when opening, does the error appear when opening with the first call to :Augment chat or only with :Augment chat-toggle?

I also couldn't find any information on vimbuftab, is that a plugin?

vim-buftabline is a plugin. It's kind of old but was new when I found it :)

To reproduce, I open a Python file from a command line. It opens into a new buffer and I type :Augment chat-toggle and get a screen like this. It might be relevant that I'm also using the NERDTree file browser plugin, pictured to the left. The error only happens with chat-toggle. The LLM chat interactions works as expected and the history buffer (once toggled and the error dismissed) fills with text with context defined from my workspace config.

What's the output of :echo exists('&winfixbuf')? Also curious what platform you're on.

The output is 0 which I assume means false.

Hi @lazzarello, I've included a fix in today release (0.25.1) that addresses the case where winfixbuf is not supported, which I believe is the root of this issue. I'm going to mark this as closed, but please follow up if there's still an issue. Thanks for your patience.
