Severe Performance Issues with Augment Trial version in PyCharm (MacBook M1 Pro)

I’m currently using the Trial version of Augment Code with PyCharm 2025.1.1 (JetBrains IDE) on a MacBook M1 Pro (16 GB RAM), and I’m experiencing severe performance issues.

The plugin is extremely slow. Most of the time, there is a long delay between my actions and the plugin’s response — it feels like nothing is happening, but in fact the system is just very unresponsive.

To help illustrate the issue, I’ve recorded a video and attached it to this message. You will notice that I’m actively working, but due to high latency, there is barely any visible output during long periods of time.

I’ve tried the following steps:

1. Increased the memory allocation for PyCharm to 5 GB
2. Disabled other plugins
3. Cleared caches and restarted
4. Ensured everything is up to date

Despite these actions, the issue persists.

For comparison, the same Augment plugin works smoothly in Visual Studio Code on the same machine.
