Description

This is the third release of the project. It includes the implementation of the search, share, write and remove file feature allowing users to perform tasks efficiently.

New Features

  • Desktop notifications - a desktop notification pops up to tell the user that the operation has finished just in case they don't have the terminal window open.

How to Use

For Windows

For Linux

Download the set-up script

cd ~/Downloads
  • Make the script executable
chmod +x setUp.sh
  • Run the script to set up
./setUp.sh
  • You can run the program with any of the commands
  • To search for a file
filemanager search filename
  • To remove for a file
filemanager remove filename
  • To share for a file
filemanager share filename
  • To create a file
filemanager write filename

known issues

  • ModuleNotFoundError with 'plyer.platforms' (rarely happens)
  • Share file doesn't work with pc's that have multiple network interfaces
  • View files only works for .txt files
