Description
Cross-seed rejects a candidate with
hdr mismatchwhen one name saysDoVi.HDR10and the other saysDV HDR. Both describe the same encode: Dolby Vision with an HDR10 base layer. The genericHDRtag in release names almost always means HDR10.Source torrent (local):
Candidate (tracker listing, same encode, same
.mkvbyte size):The manual search breakdown shows it under hdr mismatch (1 candidate). Another tracker's listing with the same name as the source matched.
The HDR tags normalize to
DV HDR10vsDV HDR, and the strings are compared for equality:matching.go#L631-L634parser.go#L341-L351:DoVi/DVare aliased, butHDR10andHDRstay distinct. The exact-size fallback could relax HDR here, but it compares total sizes (
search_candidate_match.go#L406-L410). The source torrent also contains.nfo,poster.jpgandscreens.png(a few MB), so the totals differ:.mkv+.nfo+poster.jpg+screens.png.mkvonly.mkvin sourceSearching from an existing mkv-only cross-seed of the same release, whose size equals the candidate's, should go through the fallback. From the original torrent it can't.
Expected: treat a generic
HDRas compatible withHDR10(but not withHDR10+orHLG), soDV HDRmatchesDV HDR10. The per-file size check downstream still guards against real mismatches.Steps to reproduce
…DoVi.HDR10.x265-GROUPthat also contains extras such as.nfoand screenshots.… DV HDR …-GROUP, with only the.mkv.hdr mismatch.Environment
