When using Brew, it will install the core formula for Mailpit instead of the formula in the tap if there is a conflict with formula names. To ensure the installation of the correct formula, specify the full formula path.

Thanks, but Mailpit has actually just been added to the Homebrew Formulae :-) The installation instructions have just been updated via another merge request. |

That's interesting - I don't use brew so I'm really glad they have added it so it is officially maintained and doesn't require additional steps to add the tap. Maybe it's worth you opening a request on https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/issues to add the |
