🧠 THE PHILOSOPHY

CodeVerse was born from a singular realization: Modern IDEs are too isolated. They treat code as static files rather than a living, distributed organism.

Our philosophy centers on Three Pillars of Sovereignty:

  1. Shared Thought (Neural Sync): Real-time collaboration isn't just about cursors; it's about synchronization of state, intent, and architectural context.
  2. Instant Reality (Aegis): Development is meaningless until it's "Live." We bridge the gap between "Localhost" and "Public URL" in one click.
  3. Holistic AI (Neural Architect): AI should understand your whole project, not just the file you're currently editing.

✨ KEY FEATURES

  • 🚀 Aegis Edge Deployment: One-click project propagation. Host your static workspaces on a real edge infrastructure with public URLs via our secure tunnel bridge.
  • 🕒 Chronos History System: Professional-grade versioning with side-by-side Monaco diff comparisons. Revert structural changes with absolute precision.
  • 🧠 Neural Architect: A multi-file aware AI engine that indexes your entire workspace for holistic reasoning and "Project-Wide" debugging.
  • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Neural Presence: High-fidelity collaboration with "Living Status" trackers (e.g., "Editing style.css") and sub-millisecond cursor reflection.
  • ⚙️ Hybrid Execution Engine: An adaptive runtime that intelligently routes code between local system compilers and the remote Piston/Docker sandbox.
  • 📊 AlgoTrace Canvas: Built-in visualization tools for DSA traversal and logic verification.

🔌 API REGISTRY

Experience high-fidelity control via our RESTful surface.

🚀 Aegis Propagation

POST /api/deploy
Synchronizes current workspace to the global edge network.

curl -X POST http://localhost:5000/api/deploy \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "projectId": "demo-sandbox",
    "files": { "index.html": "<h1>Live!</h1>" }
  }'

⚙️ The Forge (Execution)

POST /api/execute
Routes code to the Hybrid Adaptive Engine.

curl -X POST http://localhost:5000/api/execute \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "code": "print('Hello World')",
    "language": "python",
    "roomId": "room1"
  }'

🧠 Neural Architect

POST /api/ai/chat
Queries the AI with full project-wide context.

curl -X POST http://localhost:5000/api/ai/chat \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "prompt": "How does my script.js interact with index.html?",
    "context": "File: index.html Content: ... File: script.js Content: ..."
  }'

⚡ NEURAL SOCKET GRID

The lifeblood of CodeVerse. All events are sub-millisecond synchronized.

Event Type Payload Schema Description
joinRoom Emit { roomId: string } Joins the specified workspace enclave.
codeChange Broadcast { roomId, code, fileName } Syncs keystrokes across all peers.
presenceUpdate Broadcast { username, status: string } Updates peer status (e.g. "Editing X")
cursorMove Broadcast { username, pos: { ch, line } } Reflects real-time mouse/cursor position.
chatMessage Broadcast { user, message, timestamp } Real-time workspace communication.

🚀 PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS

  • Neural Sync Latency: < 50ms (Typical round-trip on local mesh).
  • Aegis Throughput: Up to 100 RPS for static propagation.
  • Architect Indexing: Ingests up to 1MB of project context in < 200ms.
  • Concurrency: Built to handle 1,000+ active document deltas per room.

🔒 SECURITY & ENCLAVES

  • Execution Isolation: Code routed to The Forge (remote) is executed in standard Piston/Docker isolation enclaves with zero network egress.
  • Data Protection: Industry-standard JWT rotation and high-entropy session secrets.
  • CSRF & Rate-Limiting: Aegis deployments are rate-limited per session to prevent propagation flooding.

🗺 ROADMAP

  • Phase 1: God-Level Foundation: Hybrid Execution & Multi-lingual core.
  • Phase 2: Temporal Reality: Chronos Diff engine & Version history.
  • Phase 3: The Edge: Aegis Bridge & Global Tunnel Propagation.
  • Phase 4: Collaborative DSA: Competitive DSA Arena with live leaderboards.
  • Phase 5: Neural Audio: Integrated low-latency voice channels for pairing.
  • Phase 6: The Grid: Distributed peer-to-peer workspace mesh.

❓ GLOSSARY & FAQ

📚 Glossary of Terms

  • Aegis Engine: Our proprietary deployment bridge that propagates local folders to global URLs.
  • Chronos Layer: The temporal versioning sub-system that manages diffs and history.
  • Neural Architect: The AI context aggregator that reads your entire project "holistically."
  • The Forge: The hybrid execution runtime (Local Adaptive + Remote Piston).
  • Midnight UI: Our signature glassmorphism design identity.

❓ FAQ

Q: Why does the Aegis URL say 503 sometimes?
A: This usually means the tunnel bridge is refreshing. Wait 5 seconds and click "Deploy" again.

Q: Can I run CodeVerse without Internet?
A: Yes! If you use the Local Adaptive execution strategy and Ollama, CodeVerse can operate completely offline. Only the Aegis Bridge requires internet for global propagation.
