The Profile module is "the successor to the Drupal 7 Profile2 module and can automatically import and convert any Profile2 profiles when upgrading from a Drupal 7 installation."
Look in that repo for the most up-to-date instructions, current status and the releases you will need if upgrading from Profile2.
