Request: Paste without formatting

We have an app in which the formatting options we want to allow are very limited. We've customised the Lexxy toolbar by removing the buttons we dont want (as we used to with Trix) but if a user pastes in content from another website / Google Doc etc then they get the H1, H2, UL, OL tags etc that we don't want them using. It would be great if there was a way to configure an editor to paste unformatted, or a paste hook we could use to strip the formatting before Lexxy does its thing. Thanks!

@jorgemanrubia Appreciate this isn't a direction you want to go in but I wanted to drop in one more observation without spamming you with new issues. If I copy/paste center aligned text from a Google doc then I get elements with style='text-align: center; and as there is no alignment button there's no way to change that. Would it be worth stripping style attributes on paste? I think some bits are already being stripped as font colour doesn't persist into Lexxy, where it does if I paste the same text into a new email for example.

I've attempted intercepting the paste event to make these changes myself but I can only seem to catch the event after Lexxy has already received the clipboard contents. Perhaps the editor could offer a hook to allow modification of the clipboard content before insertion?
