Consider using Ubuntu on My laptop, I want to ensure the security and prevent data leak in case of lost or stolen. Could it possible make Ubuntu data protection at the same level of Windows or macOS, if so how to do that?

Here is my questions

  • Do "use LVM and encryption" using standard installer only:
    • does it enough in usual cases?
    • If you are employer, will you allow employee to do this?
    • What is the risks just do it only?
  • The boot partition is not encrypted using Ubuntu installer event if choose "use LVM and encryption".
    • Should I care about it?
    • If it is better to encrypt boot partition, then how to do that? I find the arch wiki, but I do not know if how to adapt to Ubuntu.
  • Windows 11 require TPM 2.0. Should it be integrated to Ubuntu and how?
