neovim file manager #2222

Running nvim then typing f in Lazyvim's Dashboard brings up the pickers' find file capability rather than a file manager/tree/explorer. They're very different tasks. You don't want to be pressing a modifier key when trying to search for a "Help.md" or "config.tomL" or grepping for a class you called "JunK"! The picker has dozens of uses not directly related to files (try leader+s and most of the options that pop up with which-key are through this picker). Are you expecting similar functionality to command/super/winkey and f in Omarchy which brings up the gnome files (aka Nautilus) file manager? Hyprland keybinds are there to be changed by the user and while you could do the same for the Lazyvim dashboard this then breaks consistency with leader+f usage and is more likely to lead to breaking changes since you can't control how Folke changes Lazyvim. |

The default neovim file manager in omarchy (running
nvimand pressingf) puts you in an inferior file manger. However if you donvim .you get a better file manager.Could we consider making
nvim+fuse that same file manager?Specifically the issue is, when you do
nvim+fthe file manager puts you in a search bar sohjkldoesn't let you navigate -- you have to holdshiftwhich is a flow-inhibitor, since everywhere else (includingnvim .file manager) just lets you usehjklwithout holdingshift. All reactions
