Jetbrains Toolbox App installer has tiny window size

What's wrong?

The Jetbrains Toolbox App, Jetbrains' recommended tool to install its applications such as IntelliJ IDEA, starts with a tiny size:

The text is just big enough to be readable, so I could proceed to install IntelliJ IDEA 2025.3.1 with this tool, and when clicking that app, it gets displayed in a more regular size. So the display size issue is just with the Toolbox App.

A workaround for now is to set zoom from within the Toolbox App: Go to Menu > Settings > Appearance and behavior > Zoom and increase the zoom to your liking

Yeah, we need JetBrains to do the work on proper Wayland compatibility to fix this. Please report that over on their tracker 👌

The Jetbrains doc you shared says the VM options are available under Help | Edit Custom VM Options…, but for me in IntelliJ IDEA 2025.3.1.1 it appears under Help | Edit Custom VM Options…

And in that file, -Dawt.toolkit.name=WLToolkit is already present (and I don't think I added it there manually), so it looks like IntelliJ already supports the Wayland display server protocol out of the box when it gets installed.

@sedubois then use the config file in my PR you can copy it in ~/.local/share/omarchy/default/hypr/apps/jetbrains.conf

It makes jetbrains more usable. Only a single windows isn't well supported without the fix from hyprland. (search popup)
I documented the workaround until new hyprland version (replacing min_size = (monitor_w*0.5) (monitor_h*0.5) with hard coded size)
