Hi, in case it helps, I have a UGREEN 'USB-A to RJ45 2.5G Ethernet Adapter' (it has RTL8156BG inside) and I'm using it with my DS916+. This is connected via Cat6 cable to a 2.5G switch and from there to my PC. On the NAS side, it's plugged into the front port, and I'm using driver r8152-braswell-2.14.0-2.spk. The NAS is on DSM 6.2.4-25556 Update 8. I'm getting transfers of my video files at 218 (best) and 160 (worst). The drives in my DS916+ are 4TB and 6TB WD Red Pro units. I'm going to post a 'Work' report for the above, and I'll keep an eye on it and update to stable, if it turns out it is, but I need to run iperf first. |

Adapter: UGREEN 2.5G USB-C with UGREEN USB-C to USB-A adapter.
(I had to rotate the USB-C to USB-A adapter otherwise it was only USB2.)
Driver: r8152-braswell-2.20.1-1_7.2.spk
It only works on the front USB port. Although it is also connected at 5000 Mbps on the other ports, the performance on the rear USB ports is very poor. I also connected an external USB hard drive. However, I have to connect the hard drive to the upper USB port on the back, as the 2.5G Ethernet would have dropouts if the HDD is connected on the lower USB port.
So:
2.5G Eth on front USB
HDD on back/top USB
UPS on back/bottom USB
However, copying files only works at approx. 140 MB/s via SMB. I don't think the RAID is any faster. Even locally on the NAS (from RAID to external USB), it only copies at 140 MB/s. CPU is at 50%.
