Some options:

• As source
• In a docker container
• As a native app, using something like electron or node-webkit
• As a chrome app

Why not a dead-simple node module? That's probably what you meant by the first option?

We move all the global npm deps to be dev deps. We also probably should consolidate the FE and BE package.jsons into single top-level package.json with bunch of stuff in the scripts section.

We would probably have two versions:

1. Hosted - for public facing APIs etc - this could be hosted off heroku etc

2. For private users in their own VPNs/hosted mode - All they need to do is npm install -g ack.mo; ackmo --start This will start the web-server and also serve the UI as a webpage.
