Purpose

Internal-test bank for CORTEX v1.2.0. The Phase-9 ground-up rebuild adds spike-vs-no-spike as the 7th task alongside the 6 IIIC pattern_classes (sz, lpd, gpd, lrda, grda, iic). Stratified across both families with a 50-segment spike sample drawn from the calibrated SN1 corpus (~17K eligible) and 300 IIIC segments matching the v1.1.5 production set.

How CORTEX uses this

cortex-release CI fetches eeg_bank.h5 from this release at build time and bundles it into the per-platform installer (Mac .dmg, Windows .zip, Linux .tar.gz). The Phase-9 close-out doc is at docs/PHASE9_CLOSEOUT.md in the repo.

D9 / PHI note

This bank carries D9 PHI-bearing EEG signals (no PII). Distribution is restricted to authorised internal testers; the GitHub release page is access-controlled per the repo's visibility settings.

Reproducibility

The bank is rebuilt via python scripts/build_cortex_bank_k7_internal.py from the SN1 corpus + the K=6 v1.1.5 IIIC bank. Build script is at scripts/build_cortex_bank_k7_internal.py in the v1.2.0 commit.
