The app has received a significant number of improvements since 2.1.18. Version 2.1.47 includes 91 commits with many useful enhancements and fixes that would benefit Olares users:
Major new features & improvements:
- Background task execution for Agents — Agents can now run long-running operations without blocking the conversation.
- WeChat Bot support (in addition to Discord) with richer responses, custom markdown, and new commands (/new, /stop).
- Faster image uploads — Automatic compression of large images to 1920px.
- Improved Knowledge Base — Better document parsing before chunking for higher retrieval accuracy.
- New models — GLM-5 and Tencent Hunyuan 3.0 ImageGen added.

LobeChat has been rebranded to LobeHub as part of its evolution into a full AI Agent platform (Agents as the core unit, with skills, knowledge base, bots, etc.). The GitHub repository is now under lobehub/lobehub and the official site is lobehub.com.
The project is very actively maintained (dozens of releases between 2.1.18 and 2.1.47). Many of the changes focus on better agent capabilities, multi-platform bot support, performance, and developer experience.
