Hark – Hearing Aid Relay Kit (v0.1.0)

🎉 First MVP release of Hark – a lightweight Android app that turns your phone into a live microphone for hearing aids.

Built to solve a personal need, Hark captures audio from your phone’s mic and streams it to Bluetooth hearing aids (ASHA-compatible) in real time. It is meant to compete with dedicated devices like the Oticon ConnectClip or the audifon multistreamer pro with the remote mircrophone feature. H.A.R.K. also stands for Hearing Aid Relay Kit 😉

🔹 Core Features:

• One-button start/stop streaming
• Designed for ASHA-compatible Android devices
• No pairing dongles or external mics required (though support for external mics has been noted as a potential feature)

🛠️ Tech:

• Kotlin
• Android SDK
• AudioRecord / AudioTrack API

🚧 Known Limitations:

• Audio lag may occur based on device / Bluetooth latency (especially in close proximity to the mobile device)
• No background or notification support yet
• Requires manual Bluetooth connection
