Hark is a lightweight Android app that turns your phone into a live microphone for hearing aids.
Built to solve a personal need, Hark captures audio from your phone’s mic and streams it to Bluetooth hearing aids (ASHA-compatible) in real time. It is meant to compete with dedicated devices like the Oticon ConnectClip or the audifon multistreamer pro with the remote microphone feature. H.A.R.K. also stands for Hearing Aid Relay Kit 😉
🆕 What’s New in v0.2.1
- 🔔 More stable notification behaviour
- 📱 Service stops running when the app is closed (different to minimized)
- 🎙️ Notification is destroyed when the microphone is not being used
🚧 Known Limitations
- Audio lag may occur depending on device and Bluetooth latency
- Notification is not yet interactive (cannot pause/stop from notification tray)
