Aggregate your project files into a single text file for AI analysis
Project Dump is a command-line tool that consolidates all your project files into a single text file, making it easy to share your entire codebase with AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, or other LLMs for analysis, debugging, or code review.
Linux/macOS:
# Download the binary
wget curl -L -O https://github.com/benjatech/pdump/raw/refs/heads/main/dist/pdump
# Make it executable
chmod +x pdump
# Move to your PATH
sudo mv pdump /usr/local/bin/Windows:
Download pdump.exe and add it to your PATH.
Requirements:
- Python 3.7+
# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/benjatech/pdump.git
cd pdump
# Make the script executable
chmod +x pdump.py
# Copy to your bin directory
cp pdump.py /usr/local/bin/pdump# Install PyInstaller
pip install pyinstaller
# Compile to standalone executable
pyinstaller --onefile pdump.py
# The binary will be in dist/pdump
sudo cp dist/pdump /usr/local/bin/# Dump all files in current directory
pdump
# Use a predefined profile
pdump --profile php
# Specify output filename
pdump --filename my-project.txt
# Include only specific extensions

By default, these directories are always skipped:

Use --include-hidden-dirs to include them.
