Layout Mode: search components by name or category

Layout Mode has 66 components across several categories, so finding a specific component can require scrolling through the palette.

I'd like to add a compact search field that:

• Filters by component name and category
• Preserves category grouping
• Shows a live result count and contextual empty state
• Clears with Escape or a clear button

I have a working prototype with tests in my fork. Would this fit the intended Layout Mode experience? I'm happy to adjust the interaction or layout before opening a PR.
