add email notifications #4
Description
So far, the site doesn't send any email notifications. And perhaps sponsors/maintainers would prefer to keep it that way (I'm not sure).
Examples where email notifications might be helpful:
- For maintainers: You successfully added your first issue to
sponsoredissues.org. - For maintainers: You received your first issue donation on
sponsoredissues.org. - For maintainers: A weekly/monthly summary about new donations to your issues.
- For sponsors: The maintainer closed one of your sponsored issues, which probably indicates that the issue was successfully implemented/fixed.
- For sponsors: A weekly/monthly summary about your sponsored issue(s), e.g. changes in the issue rankings.
Side note: Currently, the site has no user settings at all, and I really like the simplicity of that. But if I added email notifications, then I would probably need to add a user settings page for changing the email address, changing the frequency/type of notifications, etc.
