Description
ISSUE:
The Readme.md needs to include some details for GHST to work properly without the user being confused.
Ghost users may set and forget their RF Mode on their RX module and thus cause themselves to think there is an issue with the Betaflight LUA when it does not work... due to them being on the RF Mode that has no Telemetry.
This was the post I made on the ImmersionRC Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/immersionrchub/
Finally got Betaflight LUA to work, but only on certain RF Modes.
I changed, on the module, the RF Mode from my preferred Solid250 to Normal and it worked. I then changed it to other RF Modes and only some worked.
Module turns green for connection and the drone arms - LUA WORKS!
"Normal"
"Race"
"Race250"
"Long-Range" turns green for connection and the drone arms - NO LUA
Module turns yellow for connection and the drone arms - NO LUA
"PureRace"
"Race500"
"Solid250"
In the Owners Maunal for the Ghost receiver on Page 36-38 describes the RF Modes. The attached image shows the same 3 RF Modes to NOT have telemetry THUS the reason they will not work with BetaFlight LUA.
I just assumed that ALL of them should work. It's been a long time since I changed my RF Mode, so I thought there was an issue.
Currently stated...
"Telemetry - Telemetry has to be enabled and supported by the TX / RX for the scripts to be able to communicate with the flight controller"
Adjust it to...
Maybe adjust the sentence by... "Telemetry - Telemetry has to be enabled in Betaflight Receiver tab and supported by the TX / RX for the scripts to be able to communicate with the flight controller"
Currently stated...
"ImmersionRC Ghost - Latest firmware"
Adjust it to...
"ImmersionRC Ghost RX module - Latest firmware and module set to RF Mode "Normal" - "Race" - "Race250" see Ghost receiver manual page 36-38 for further details - (Other RF Modes do not have telemetry to allow Betaflight LUA to work)
