  • docs: arch taper between track pillars (PR #399)

    @bh679 bh679 committed Jun 15, 2026
  • v0.83.0 (NeoForge / Sable / per-carriage refactor / login spawn) wiki update Massive update reflecting the v0.83.0 merge cycle that took the mod off Forge 1.20.1 + Valkyrien Skies and onto NeoForge 1.21.1 + Sable, plus PR #119's per-carriage train architecture refactor and PR #120's login spawn placement rewrite. Tier A (must-update — pages told outright lies pre-update): - Home.md: Forge → NeoForge, VS → Sable, version dependencies - Development.md: JDK 17 → JDK 21, Forge → NeoForge event/annotation refs - Compatibility.md: full rewrite for Sable + 1.21.1 migration patterns; added new Compatibility-VS-Legacy.md preserving the original 53 KB of VS notes verbatim (with a "retired, see Compatibility for live" banner) for historical reference - Feature-Train-Chain.md: retired-banner + historical preservation — TrainChainManager / spawnSuccessor / forwardLimit-backwardLimit are all deleted; per-carriage architecture eliminated the 128-chunk shipyard wall this feature worked around - Features.md: index updates for Train (per-carriage), Train-Chain (struck-through, retired), Login-Spawn (new entry); fixed Starter-Train summary to delegate login pipeline to its own page Tier B (should-update — pages had partly-stale architecture sections): - Feature-Train.md: rewrote "How it moves", "Per-carriage architecture" (replaces the "Rolling-window carriages" section), "Internal layout"; updated "Known limitations" - Feature-Starter-Train.md: replaced the login-teleport paragraph with a pointer to Feature-Login-Spawn; updated the bootstrap section to mention the placement caching call; refreshed Files / Known limits - Feature-Track-Generation.md: appended Worldgen-stairs SavedData (40-multiple slot rule, depth probe relax) and Corridor +1 clearance + foliage cleanup sections - Feature-Tunnel-Generation.md: appended Probe-and-confirm worldgen path and Save-busy infinite-loop fix sections; tightened the existing CME write-up to mention the v0.83.0 hardening Tier C (new pages + surgical): - NEW Feature-Login-Spawn.md: dedicated page for the login-spawn pipeline (cached SpawnPlacement, PlayerFudgeSpawnMixin, deferred retry queue, buffered-X scan, perp walk, on-train-roof last resort, leaves rejection, full constants table) - Feature-Carriage-Editor.md: surgical PR #117 mention only (CONTENTS/TRACKS plot rows now offset past CARRIAGES extent) Out-of-scope (still has stale 1.20.1/VS refs — flagged for future): - Downloads.md (auto-generated by release flow) - Installation.md (needs full rewrite for NeoForge install steps) - Feature-Carriage-Contents.md (mentions VS-render quirk that's obsoleted by per-carriage architecture) - Feature-Prefab-Library.md (one Forge 1.20.1 mention re tooltip API) - Other Feature-* pages not touched by the merge cycle Verification: grep for "Forge 1.20|JDK 17|VS 2.4|Valkyrien Skies 2.4" across the touched files returns only intentional retrospective mentions (legacy compat link, pre-v0.83.0 note, historical sections).

  • docs(tracks): worldgen Feature for bed+rails (PR #110)

    @bh679 bh679 committed Apr 28, 2026
  • docs(features): document Dungeon Train (Nether) and (End) world types PR #105 added two new entries to the World Type dropdown that start the player and the auto-spawned train in the chosen dimension on first login. It also folded in a fix that skips pillar/stair placement when the entire footprint is over pure void (visible in the End start, where pillars used to anchor at the world floor and hang up through empty space). - Feature-World-Type.md: new "Starting in the Nether or End" section, updated changelog header and Files table - Features.md: updated index entry to mention dimension picker - Feature-Track-Generation.md: added pillar/stair void-skip note to the changelog header

  • docs(editor): bedrock bounds cage (v0.40.0) Every editor (carriage / carriage contents / track / pillar / tunnel) now renders the plot cage in bedrock instead of invisible barrier blocks, so authors can see the bounds in any game mode. Updated every wiki page that referenced the old barrier cage, plus added a v0.40.0 entry to the carriage editor version history and the Features summary. • docs(wiki): split Features into per-feature subpages Features.md now summarises each feature and links to a dedicated page. Detail content moves into nine Feature-*.md files, one per feature, so each feature is easier to link to and edit in isolation. No content is lost; cross-page links have been updated.
