This should open the file as binary and return a &[u8]

just curious - would it make sense to pass Vec<u8> and String to the user's function instead? If the ownership is not needed by the caller (which it shouldn't), and the callee might actually in some cases benefit from getting ownership, they won't have to clone it. That said, if you plan to have some alternative internal storage, that would hinder it... except that i can't think of any other owned object other than Vec and String

Currently the macro expands to include_str!("file") for each file, which means that the string is stored as a static string so there is no allocation to re-use. This is a little problematic for usecases with large files or many small files, so I might switch this to being read at runtime at some point

ah, makes sense, thx. I guess you can introduce a config block in the future to allow for all this. Glob on the other hand is probably more useful in the short term, despite the temp workaround
