Initial stable release

This tool lets you clone GitHub issue labels from one repository to another, optionally clearing the target repo first.

Features:

  • Copy all labels from a source repository to a target repository
  • Optionally preserve existing labels with --keep-existing
  • Fully asynchronous with httpx for faster operations
  • Compatible with Python 3.11, 3.12, 3.13
  • Zero dependencies beyond httpx

Usage:

python copy_labels.py \
  --token YOUR_GITHUB_TOKEN \
  --source username/repo-from \
  --target username/repo-to
