You should use ffmpeg on the camera stream url itself and only provide opus audio in the second line, eg: |

I have added #hardware but I still get that red warning. I now think it's because the h.265 stream from my cameras, which is reported by ffprobe, might be imperfectly implemented. 0.15 ffprobe shows me an h.265 and an h.264 stream which is different from 0.13's ffprobe report: whereas 0.13 claims that both streams are h.265: and hence I wonder if I now need to try something along the lines of @sruffilli and see about using ffmpeg commands embedded into go2rtc instead. What do you think I should try? I am floundering here - I am out of my depth. |
Got it working. I had the same issue as OP, same camera too (fwiw, the trick of lowering the resolution to force the camera to steam h254 instead of h265 doesn't work on the Duo as it won't go low enough resolution). No matter what I did, the go2rtc rtsp would still be h265. I started with the exec shown here and further tweaked it, and now the stream is finally being transcoded! Here is my working config (along with a commented out version that didn't work): Testing with ffprobe, using the built in go2rtc config shortcuts (commented out above) -- not transcoded: But with the "manual" exec, it works, finally h265 stream from the Duo transcoded to h264, with hardware acceleration to boot! |

Well thats interesting - I just took it the opposite way - and using the exec config I was able to finally transcode from h264->h265. Thanks! |

Just as a follow up to this, I have the Duo 3 Reolink POE and was struggling to convert H265 to H264, using @kreucher code got it working but the stream was lagging ever so slightly and a bit choppy, I ran it through ai and it gave me this instead which now seems to work excellently and with no stutter/delay. |

Sounds like you can't re-encode to 265 currently with hardware support. maybe software is too slow? |

I added #hardware on my ffmpeg command. garage_main:

but maybe when uses that stream it’ll do the hardware I don’t know. Good question. |

Describe the problem you are having
I'm using Reolink Duo 2 cameras (I know).
I've tried many multiple config permutations to convert h265 to h264 to no avail. Can anybody spot what's wrong with my setup?
