Is go2rtc required for WebRTC -> Home Assistant?

I have all sorts of issues with go2rtc e.g. streams dropping out, previews going black (etc). I've pretty much confirmed this is a go2rtc issue as I ran my own go2rtc instance in another container and the same thing happened. When I use RTSP streams directly within Frigate, they're stable and never drop.

But, the downside is that I can't get WebRTC streams into Home Assistant anymore.

That said, I'm sure I read somewhere that WebRTC into Home Assistant can be done without go2rtc. Is that accurate or is go2rtc mandatory for WebRTC -> Home Assistant to function? I've got the candidate IP address and stun setting in my configuration and the my firewall isn't blocking anything.

Yes. From the docs:

The highest quality and fluency of the Live view requires the bundled go2rtc to be configured as shown in the step by step guide.

This does include live views from Frigate in Home Assistant.
