Home: mc6 is the name of the package, not of the command It said the program is installed as mc6 beside the mc of the distribution. Neither half is true: the binaries are mc, mcedit, mcview and mcdiff as before, and the package provides mc and conflicts with it, so it takes its place rather than standing next to it.
The wiki lives at blue-panels/mc6 The repository moved, and the image addresses point straight at raw.githubusercontent.com, which does not follow the redirect: the pictures would have stopped loading.
Release v6.0.4: the date of the tag The page said 2026-08-31, the day the notes were written. The release is dated by its tag, 2026-09-01, which is also the date of the section in CHANGELOG.md that the package changelogs are built from.
Release v6.0.4: link the two languages to each other The home pages have carried such a link all along; the release page had none, so the Russian one could only be found by editing the address.
Home: drop the list of small changes Every line of it is in CHANGELOG.md and on the release page, where a reader looks for that kind of detail. The page is an overview.
Home and Releases for 6.0.4 The home page still described 6.0.1: the user directories are named mc6 now, tar and cpio left the core for arcmc, Lua became a plugin of its own, the subshell became mcterm, and the viewer gained sixel, ELF, Java and DBF views. The Russian page follows it, and gains the image section it did not have. The list of releases gains v6.0.4.
