Summary

  • expand release note discovery to include nested files, parse versions without a required leading v, and accept matches based on headings or full paths
  • keep the release job safer by resolving the selected markdown within the repository before rewriting its heading and publishing it
  • confirm the workflow file parses by loading it with PyYAML so we know the YAML syntax is valid
