Ctrl+Left Click on links in the library list open the library readme in the current tab

In Firefox 138.0.4, when I Ctrl+Left Click on a library name or the docs icon in the list, the clicked link opens in the new background tab (which is normal), but the current tab opens the clicked library's readme page (which is not normal). Ctrl+Left Click is the standard hotkey to open links in new background tabs. It should not affect the current tab in any way (and I didn't even know it could).

This issue seems to only affect the library list; other links seem to open in the background without affecting the current tab, as they should.

@rbbeeston it appears to be a Windows issue with Firefox as described. Edge, when using ctrl+click on the doc link(s) opens only the readme page for the library - no new tab (which is also incorrect in a different way). If I ctrl+click on the doc link from the readme it does open a new tab. Chrome behaves the same as Edge.

Mac gives me options (Open in new tab, etc) versus opening anything automatically regardless of browser.

I'm on Kubuntu 24.04, so not Windows-specific.

Also, I should have probably clarified that Ctrl+Left Click is a standard hotkey in Firefox. I'm not sure if other browsers behave the same way on this key combination and whether they have a different combination to the same effect.
