boot2docker init --memory=4096 doesn't work

So the only workaround is to set the memory manually e.g. using gui VirtualBox Manager?

Is there an workaround for setting the initial disk size, increase from 20GB to 40GB?

I tried adding a new hard disk after "boot2docker init" but the new disk apparently has to be initialized:

I guess I need to follow some steps for resizing a vmdk? This seemed to work:

$ boot2docker stop
$ VBoxManage clonehd ~/VirtualBox\ VMs/boot2docker-vm/boot2docker-vm.vmdk /tmp/b2d.vdi --format vdi
$ VBoxManage modifyhd /tmp/b2d.vdi --resize 40960
$ VBoxManage clonehd /tmp/b2d.vdi /tmp/b2d.vmdk --format vmdk
$ mv /tmp/b2d.vmdk ~/VirtualBox\ VMs/boot2docker-vm/boot2docker-vm.vmdk
$ boot2docker start
$ boot2docker ssh sudo df -h

Fortunately didn't have to partition, guess that would require boot2docker ssh sudo tce-load -wi parted.

+1 seems to ignore -s/--disksize option too.

So - pulled and built, it's still barfing on netmask:

➜ ~ boot2docker init --dhcpip=172.31.0.99 --hostip=172.31.0.10 --lowerip=172.31.0.100 --netmask=ffff0000 --upperip=172.31.0.254
invalid argument "ffff0000" for --netmask=ffff0000: failed to parse IP mask: "ffff0000"

(ffffff00, as in the help text, also failed).

But - the rest seem to work, or at least when I killed that, the other parameters were accepted, and the resulting boot2docker works (yay!). (I had to move to another IP range as the default conflicts with an IP at my work - the above is the default for an AWS VPC, so it should be fairly available...)

Yes, I ran into issues with not having --memory recognized with the boot2docker 1.2.0 version, but compiling from the most recent master fixed memory and disksize issues for me.

Disksize was also working for me only on init but not on eg. up

-s, --disksize=20000: boot2docker disk image size (in MB).

Sorry, this repository is long-since deprecated in favor of Docker Toolbox (whose usage is now also discouraged in favor of Docker for Windows and Docker for Mac).
