BTW, this is the last borg 2 beta that runs on old OpenSSL.

b24+ will require OpenSSL >= 3.2, due to #9602 (and maybe also #9788 later).

OpenSSL < 3.5 will run out of upstream support after Oct 2026 anyway.

borg repo-create --from-borg1 / borg transfer preparation

There is a bug that needs a workaround, see #10189.

I've been testing borg2, upon update to b23 it stopped working.

Unsupported payload type 2. A newer version is required to access this repository.

I've tried the transfer command, same error.

There is no combability between repo create by different version of borg2. With new borg2 version you should create a new fresh repo.

@Dialga I had to change how the "none" and "authenticated" modes work, guess it is due to that.
