[Bug]: Internal Emulator Issue with --asm

What happened?

When compiling code with the parameter --asm, which generates the corresponding assembly file, the internal (or external) emulator should NOT run. However, the emulator starts and does nothing which could led users to believe that the program being developed unexpectedly fails.

When --asm is used, the emulator shouldn't be executed.
