Built almost entirely from the beta-thread feedback (TalkBass, r/BassGuitar, r/VSTi). No new sounds — everything here improves what was already there.
Fixed
- Fuzz no longer jumps in volume — engaging FUZZ was 11–16 dB louder than clean; the fuzz path is now loudness-matched per strip, so the button changes character, not volume. Old sessions are migrated automatically. (Note: sessions saved with FX faders very high may come back slightly quieter — the migration caps at the +12 dB fader max. Worth a quick listen to old mixes.)
- Zipper noise eliminated — all controls (faders, pans, mutes, solos, input/output, glue) now ramp smoothly while playing instead of stepping.
- Spectrum display low end — the stair-stepping below 500 Hz was a display-resolution artifact, not signal; the analyzer now matches what your DAW's analyzers show. It also behaves correctly at low sample rates.
- macOS standalone app icon — no more generic placeholder.
New
- A/B button on the DI strip — instantly audition your raw DI against the full processed stack, click-free.
- Spectrum views — the FREQ button cycles OFF / ALL / PRE (DI, grey) / POST (processed, cyan), so you can see exactly what the plugin adds.
- SYS panel — live CPU, latency, sample rate, buffer size, host and OS, with one-click COPY for bug reports.
- Update notice — the plugin now tells you when a newer version is out (checks the public releases feed at most once a day; nothing about you or your audio is ever sent).
- README gained a tech FAQ (signal flow, glue spec, oversampling, latency, CPU) and a plain-English glossary.
Changed
- SUB and DI strips no longer have pan — they stay dead centre by design (the DI strip carries the A/B button instead). Sessions that panned them will reload centred.
