In-game UI loop (no Xbox BIOS supplied)
What is shown
With the stack below, on Windows it starts xemu, passes its GPU feature probe and runs its UI loop at about 72 fps. The window shows xemu's dark-green grid background. It reports
Failed to load BIOS '(null)', because the catalog release has nomcpx_1.0.binor flash image, so it needs the user's own BIOS files to go further.Current blocker
Updated 2026-10-18 (
maineb1a15b5c): nothing open is needed any more. #5604 (the geometry VGPR allocation check, #5437 part 2) merged on 2026-10-15, after #5187, #5061, #4958 and #4593.On Windows (RTX 3080), plain
maineb1a15b5crelinked with--windows --windows-fixed-base 0x400000passes the GPU probe without device loss and runs its UI loop for the full 60 s at about 100 fps. The probe's readback is black, though: xemu logsCould not determine triangle strip1 rotation, an inconsistent triangle-fan winding andVK geometry shader winding: 0, 0, 0, 0, so the probe's geometry draw output doesn't seem to reach its 640x480 target (details on #5437). On Linux the same build gets through the geometry draw, but this test machine's lavapipe (LLVM 20.1) aborts in its own shader compiler on the probe's compute pipeline. The fixed base is still required (#4013).How it was run
