Title
FFTARecomp (PPSA98512)
Content version tested
ps5-v1.0.0from the homebrew catalog (darkxex/FFTARecomp-PS5, release zipPPSA98512.zip, 17 MiB). It is the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance recompilation; it needs the user's own cartridge dump in/data/FFTARecomp, which I don't have, so the furthest it can go here is its "no cartridge" screen.AnyPS5 commit
maina6dcea9 with thelibScePosixForWebKitexport of #8080 on top (I had the same one-line forward locally). Last updated 2026-10-22.System tested
Ubuntu 24.04 x86-64 container under Rosetta on an Apple M5 (macOS 26.2), GCC 13.3, Release, llvmpipe (Mesa, LLVM 20.1.2), no real GPU.
Furthest point
What is shown
Nothing is presented yet. With #8080's export the title starts: it creates its Vulkan device and a 3840x2160 swapchain, opens
/data/FFTARecomp/logs/FFTARecomp.log, logsno cartridge found in /data/FFTARecomp: waiting for oneandpad 1: Player (17 buttons, 6 axes), and records its first three draws (the "need cartridge" screen, judging byassets/need-rom.rgbain the package). Each draw takes about 360 ms on llvmpipe, and about 10 s in, llvmpipe aborts the process:That is inside Mesa's LLVM backend, not the emulator, so a real GPU is the next step; no frame was dumped before it.
Current blocker
On plain
mainthe loader stops before anything runs, on the one export the title imports fromlibScePosixForWebKitthat the module does not have:cB4rMoKU4UIispthread_setname_np; open #8080 adds it. After that, on llvmpipe, the stop is the LLVM abort above. The title also imports
shm_open,readlink,cpuset_getaffinity,_umtx_opandsceSystemServiceLoadExec, which have throwing paths; none was reached in this run.How it was run
relinker --to-rosetta --registry src/eboot.elf app.elfwith the package'ssce_module/libc.prxbeside the eboot, the package contents asapp0/, then(
ld-linuxbecause Rosetta's ELF loader refuses the converted binary's firstPT_LOAD). The package'slapy.elfandlapy-manifest.jsonare the jailbreak-side helper and are not used. All reactions
