The former Bitcoin Core Developer Mike Hearn was the Lead Developer of Corda, which uses as key property the "Need-To-Know-Principle". Corda has neither blocks nor a global ledger. Therefore, Corda is more a Blockchain-inspired Distributed Ledger. None of the participants knows all the facts. Facts result from rules defined in smart contracts and chain of transactions. Corda uses notary services to prevent Double-spending. Each contract is supervised by a notary service.

The repository implements the Corda Adapter for Mantichor, a project to execute Process Choreographies on the Blockchain. Mantichor consists of three components: frontend, blockchain adapter(s) and share server. You can read more about it here.
