Outside Steam, gamescope/session handling can clear or mis-attach LD_PRELOAD, so the library may load on gamescope/reaper instead of the game.

Work exists to persist preload across that path; it is not enabled as a supported mainline recipe until side effects are sorted.

What to do now

• Need LinUwUx on Lutris/Faugus → run without gamescope when possible.
• Need gamescope → add the game to Steam (non-Steam OK) and use:

~/.local/bin/linuwux %command%

with Steam’s gamescope options.

• Do not assume gamescope -- linuwux … or linuwux gamescope -- … works on every launcher.
