Chart coordinate settings

Options to specify how the charts will be displayed on the PiFinder. To change the settings, go to Settings\Chart... and select Coordinate Sys.. The options are:

  • Horizontal: Horizontal (alt/az) coordinates
  • EQ (Auto): Equatorial coordinates. Sets the orientation automatically: North-up if the user is in the northern hemisphere or south-up in the southern hemisphere.
  • EQ North-up: Equatorial coordinates, north-up.
  • EQ South-up: Equatorial coordinates, south-up.

Other new features

  • Chart will display without GPS lock (it will default to displaying the chart NCP-up)
  • Can start alignment without GPS lock (it will default to displaying the chart NCP-up)

Notes

  • Previously, the field "Roll" was used to rotate the chart. Roll no longer needs to be provided to chart.py -- just RA and Dec. "Roll" has been renamed to chart_rot_angle to be more explicit.
  • Side effect: In the horizontal coordinates, which shows the chart zenith-up, the chart can rotate quite a lot near the zenith.
