A polish release for the macOS app: calmer window behavior, a faster exit, and a redesigned in-app update experience.
What's new
- Instant quit. Cmd-Q now closes Skrive immediately, with no pause on the way out.
- Close the window without quitting. Closing the window no longer quits Skrive — it keeps running in the dock. Click the dock icon (or open a new window) to bring it right back, exactly where you left off. Cmd-Q still quits completely.
- A natural install window. The drag-to-install window now places Skrive on the left and the Applications folder on the right, so the drag goes the way you expect.
- A redesigned update experience. Updates now arrive as one of Skrive's own notifications, with a tidy download-progress card in Settings, instead of a generic system dialog. You'll see it on your first update after 1.7.2.
Notes
- These changes are macOS-focused. Windows builds are published at 1.7.2 for parity.
- Existing macOS users are offered 1.7.2 automatically; updates remain signed and notarized.
